Review: The Idiot Cycle

Whether you know it or not, you’re surrounded by cancer every day.

It could be in the form of a friend or family member battling it, a non-profit asking for donations to cure it, or one of the many carcinogens that cause it. The Idiot Cycle is an exposé of sorts that focuses heavily on the companies that are doing their part in causing it and pulls the curtain back on how corrupt and powerful they really are.

It’s not the best approach at getting the message across but, like the documentary Food, Inc., The Idiot Cycle is an eye-opening experience that will make you want to learn more and get involved.

The film gives some tips on how to stop the cycle. These include things like not donating or supporting non-profit organizations sponsored or operated by companies who produce cancer-causing chemicals, consuming less, supporting local organic farmers, riding your bike instead of driving, and making your home non-toxic. Some of these are obvious choices but all are valid in helping stop cancer.

You can find more information and links on The Idiot Cycle’s official website.

The Idiot Cycle plays at the Royal Cinema (608 College St. W) on Saturday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m.
