Arrest Warrant Issued For Man Accused Of First Degree Murder

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of first-degree murder.

Kirk Matthews, 24, was fatally shot on December 6. Detectives say he was targeted and likely the victim of a drug deal gone bad.

He was killed as he exited an SUV on San Pietro Way. His death marked the city’s 57th murder of 2009.

A warrant has been issued for Eric Carty, 29.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Carty is described as:

  • black
  • 5’7″-5’8″
  • 200 lbs
  • black hair
  • brown eyes.
