Classes Resume At Acton School Hit By Vandals

Classes resumed Wednesday at an Acton elementary school targeted by vandals earlier this week.

Two 19-year-old men have been charged in connection to the incident, in which 11 of 19 classrooms, including the library and computer lab, at Robert Little Public School were trashed.

Glass in classroom doors was smashed, books were thrown off shelves, computers were tossed onto the floor and a fire extinguisher was discharged in one room.

The school’s fish tanks were also smashed, killing at least 10 fish.

The incident prompted officials to cancel classes Tuesday and a damage estimate is still being tallied.

The school day was scheduled to start Wednesday with an assembly for students to address the vandalism.

Two alleged vandals were apprehended by private security guards who called police.

Christopher Wilkinson and Robert Tressel, both of Acton, have been charged with break-and-enter and mischief. They’re also charged with cruelty to animals.
