Eaton Centre set to receive major facelift

TORONTO, Ont. – The Eaton Centre is about to get a refurbishment.

The Toronto Star reported the $120-million revamp will be the biggest since it opened in 1977.

Cadillac Fairview will unveil plans Thursday, but there are reports the changes will increase light to the lower floors and add new dining areas.

Work will begin on July 1 and will continue for 18 months.

The developer promises the mall’s iconic glass ceiling featuring a flock of Canadian Geese will not be touched.
