TORONT, Ont. – Toronto has been a revolving door for basketball superstars over the last few years and Chris Bosh could be the next one to go.
Bosh becomes a free agent on Thursday and for the first time publicly Raptors boss Bryan Colangelo says the star player is likely leaving the team.
Colangelo told the FAN590 CB4 has been MIA lately.
“Chris has been somewhat persona non grata. He’s been seen and heard from through various media outfits obviously, but I’m not sure. His agent has spoken to him a whole lot in the last month. There’s literally been very little contact” Colangelo told the FAN590’s Bob McCowan during Prime Time Sports, Monday evening. “He will be exploring the market. I think it’s likely that he will leave.”
Colangelo added that although he still has the desire to resign Bosh, it is becoming more clear that “that is not going to happen”.
In April, Bosh posted a question on his Twitter page: “Should I stay or should I go?”
Rumours have been surfacing that he has been thinking about going to Miami, Cleveland, Chicago or Houston, however he may be waiting to see where LeBron James signs before making his decision.
