Search continues for missing Cessna

HALIFAX, N.S. – Officials continued to search Friday night for a small plane that had disappeared off the coast of Cape Breton a day earlier.

Two Calgary men were on board the twin-engine Cessna which dropped off the radar Thursday evening while on approach to the Sydney airport.

Weather conditions were poor at the time.

An Edmonton based engineering and design firm confirmed they sold the missing plane last week, and it was picked up at Buttonville Airport in Markham on Thursday.

Although search conditions were almost ideal on Friday, no trace of the plane was found.
