VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Putting together a petition was no easy feat, but a recall campaign could be even more difficult.
Bill Vander Zalm – the man behind the fight-HST group – has said he will launch a recall campaign against every Liberal MLA in B.C., but it likely won’t be easy.
Chris Delaney with Fight-HST tells the Vancouver Sun time limits could prove challenging; as recallers only get 60 days to gather signatures, they were given 90 days for the petition.
Vander Zalm says the campaign could start as early as mid-November, but to avoid Christmas and winter-weather, Fight-HST will likely hold off until the spring.
There have been 20 attempts at recalls since ’97, but not one has been successful.
