Two buses were caught zipping through school zones during Tuesday’s morning rush.
Police said one bus was clocked going 11 km/h over the limit in the Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard area, while another was found speeding 19 km/h over the speed limit along Cosburn Avenue.
Several other drivers were also caught going fast through school zones – the highest speed was measured at 26 km/h over the limit.
Tuesday’s efforts to nab speeding motorists in school zones is part of a two-week initiative by Toronto Traffic Services.
The aim is to educate people on a number of driving practices, which affect school-aged kids.
