Train strikes, kills pedestrian

HAMILTON, Ont. – A pedestrian was killed after he was struck by a train Sunday morning in the east end of Hamilton.

The incident happened near Quigley Road and Albright Road just after 7:30 a.m., said police.

The victim’s age has not yet been released.

Police said the victim didn’t have any vital signs when emergency personnel arrived.

The accident scene was taped off and barricades were up at nearby intersections.
