Man Charged For Oshawa Courthouse Vandalism

A 45-year-old man has been charged after an Oshawa courthouse was damaged last month.
Police say on August 13, Melville Charles Taylor was caught on surveillance video smashing the glass of a new provincial courthouse on Bond Street. He had allegedly used a hammer to break 10 windows before fleeing on foot.
Taylor, a resident of Oshawa, has been charged with mischief over $5,000.
The damage estimate was about $130,000.
