Bell Canada settles class action lawsuit

OTTAWA, Ont. – Bell Canada has settled a class action lawsuit that claimed the phone company overbilled its customers.
In the lawsuit, some Ontario wireless and home phone users alleged they were charged late fees, despite paying their bills with a cheque or through a financial institution on time.
Bell denies any fault in the settlement, but instead has changed the way its late fees are calculated.
The terms of agreement have not been disclosed.
