Police managed to track down a driver allegedly responsible for two crashes following a brief foot chase Friday morning. The motorist, driving an SUV, apparently caused two accidents and fled the scene both times.
The first accident happened in the downtown core and the second, reportedly, at Bloor and Castlefrank. The driver allegedly took off after both collisions. There’s no word yet if there were any reported injuries.
The suspect vehicle — a GMC Yukon — was then spotted driving erratically in the Bayview and Millwood Road area. Police then found the SUV, reportedly with damage to its front end, doors open, hazard lights on and airbags deployed, parked in front of a home on Millwood.
Officers managed to nab the suspect after he bolted out the back door of the home. The man has been charged with careless driving and fail-to-remain.
