Body Found In Markham Belonged To Missing Teen

York Regional Police have identified a body found a week ago in a wooded area of a Markham park.
Eighteen-year-old Anoush Verdi had been missing since July 13, when he left his home near Bur Oak Avenue and Ninth Line.
It wasn’t until around noon on Nov. 23, that a man walking through Tomlinson Park came across Verdi’s body and called police.
An autopsy by the Coroner’s Office suggests foul play was involved, but homicide detectives are not yet releasing the cause of death.
