Teacher faces sexual assault charges dating back to 1985

TORONTO, On. –  A teacher is facing sexual assault charges dating back to 1985.

The charges stem from numerous alleged sexual assaults on two girls between 1985 and 1992, York Region Police said.

Officers said the alleged offences occurred at the Toronto Waldorf School in Vaughan.

Both girls were 17 years of age when the alleged offences occurred.

It is believed there may be more victims, investigators said. They are appealing to them to come forward.

Robert Pickering, 56, of Kettleby has been charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and seduction of a female between the ages of 16 and 18.
