TORONTO, Ont. – If you have noticed that your drive around the city is bumpier than usual, you’re not alone.
The snow and daily freeze and thaw cycles have led to a bumper crop of potholes.
The city has assigned up to 100 workers to fill the gaping holes over the winter, but they only plan on doing so when there is no snow to clear.
Crews filled a total of 180,000 potholes last year, a drop of almost 80,000 from 2009 due to last year’s mild winter.
