GSP refusing to look ahead to tilt vs. Silva

TORONTO — UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre says he’s not looking ahead to a potential super-fight with middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

The Montreal fighter says he’s completely focused on Jake Shields, his opponent in the main event of UFC 129 in Toronto on April 30.

St-Pierre was joined by Shields, UFC president Dana White and fighters Mark Hominick and Jose Aldo at a news conference today at the Rogers Centre.

Silva did his part to set the stage for what would be the UFC’s biggest ever fight by knocking out Vitor Belfort last Saturday at UFC 126 in Las Vegas.

St-Pierre says it would be foolish to look past Shields, since he’s a well-rounded fighter who poses the biggest threat to his title.

Silva and St-Pierre have been touted as the two best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.
