WASHINGTON, D.C. – New research suggests more schooling works to lower blood pressure, and education may be just as good for the body as it is for the mind.
The BBC reported researchers from Brown University in Rhode Island looked at 30 years of data from nearly 4,000 people.
The more years the participants went to school, the lower their blood pressure.
The study’s lead authors suggest a lower education level may lead to high-strain jobs, which have been associated with elevated blood pressure.
