2 killed in Ottawa crash; police shut down Colonel By Drive

OTTAWA – Two people have died after a car crash in Ottawa that ejected one of them from the vehicle and trapped the other inside.

The collision happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Colonel By Drive in the city’s downtown.

The car’s driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Police have closed the street between Daly and Mann avenues.
