WOODSTOCK – A British man has plead guilty to stealing a rare Harry Potter book.

Kevin McGirr swiped a limited edition copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone from a display box at the Creative Art Gallery in Woodstock, Oxfordshire in the United Kingdom, back in October.

On Monday, he appeared in front of a judge, who sentenced him to six weeks in prison.

The man was also ordered to pay $400 in compensation and $640 for legal costs.

The book he stole is valued at $9,000.
