Police track suspect in subway station robbery

Toronto police are hunting for a suspect who allegedly robbed a ticket collector’s booth at Dupont subway station Saturday night.

Investigators say a man wearing a mask and carrying a gun approached the employee in the collector’s booth around 9:30 p.m. and made a demand for cash.

The suspect then fled the scene after the employee handed over the money.

Despite the mask, the TTC employee was able to provide police with a description of the suspect. He is described as a white man in his 40s with short black or brown hair, wearing a blue mask, blue checkered shirt and blue track pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 14 Division police at (416) 808-1400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
