Toronto introduced to new area code March 2013

TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto is currently covered by area codes 416 and 647, and will be introduced to a new area code, 437.
The area codes will be assigned starting March 25, 2013 and any new telephone numbers may be given 437 as their area code.
The CRTC said the new area code is essential as the region is expected to run out of phone numbers by July 2015.
