Fatal fire on Dixie Road in Mississauga

One man has died following an apartment fire in Mississauga, Peel police tell CityNews.
A security guard and a police officer were treated for smoke-related injuries.
The fire began on Dixie Road near the QEW around 8:20 p.m. The building was briefly evacuated, but residents have since been allowed back in.
The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is investigating.
It’s not yet known how the fire began.
