15-year-old charged in connection with Vaughan stabbing

A 15-year old girl has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Vaughan, at a home in the Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue West area.

The incident happened at around just before 8:30 p.m.

The victim is a 20-year old woman, who was stabbed in the stomach. She is expected to recover.

The Toronto Star reported the 15-year-old is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police are not confirming the relationship between the two females.
