Doctor faces child porn charges

A doctor is facing child porn charges after police raided a residence in the Front Street East and Jarvis Street area on Thursday.

Toronto police have charged 39-year-old Kevin Speight with two counts of possession of child pornography. He is also facing single counts of accessing child pornography and making child pornography.

Speight works in the emergency department at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, and the Franklin Medical Centre in Cambridge.

Trillium Health Centre has suspended him without pay while the investigation is ongoing.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
