Prince William’s wife Kate turned 30 on Monday.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who married the prince in a fairy-tale wedding last April and toured Canada with her husband in June, is expected to have a “low-key and private” birthday celebration, palace officials said.
Her milestone birthday is the first she is celebrating as a member of the royal family.
Kate dominated the British morning papers Monday with photographs of her attending the premier of Steven Spielberg’s War Horse movie on Sunday evening.
As part of their duties, the couple will travel abroad later this year to help mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
