Passengers safe after Air Canada flight makes emergency landing

All 110 people on board flight 1252 from Toronto to Turks and Caicos are safe after the airplane was forced to make an emergency landing.

The Air Canada A319 jet touched down on the island of Providenciales, southeast of the Bahamas, Friday.

According to the airline, the plane’s captain requested emergency response vehicles meet the flight after he received a warning of a possible hydraulics problem.

The plane landed safely and was towed to the gate to be inspected.
