Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto and other parts of southern Ontario, warning of rain and wet snow Tuesday.
“Here’s the positive: we’re getting out of those chilly weekend temperatures,” CityNews weather specialist Frank Ferragine said.
“But there’s active weather on the way tonight.”
Driving conditions could be bad for those living near Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Farther north, freezing rain and ice pellets are on the way for Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
A low-pressure system from Colorado is responsible for the wet weather, the federal agency said.
