FBI arrest man before planned attack on U.S. Capitol building

An attack on the Capitol building was foiled by undercover investigators.

Capitol Police and the FBI arrested a Moroccan man who they say was planning to blow up the Capitol.

Officials say the man received what he thought was a vest with explosives.

But authorities had made sure it couldn’t be activated.

They say they arrested the man as soon as he took the vest.

Federal officials say there was never any danger to the public and they’ve been investigating the suspect for a while.

They say the man was acting alone and is not connected to a terrorist organization.
