Lougheed middle school in Brampton locked down after gas line cut

Students at Lougheed middle school in Brampton were kept inside for several hours as a precaution because of a natural gas leak.
The leak occurred around 2 p.m. in the Countryside Drive and Bramlea Road area. The school is on Father Tobin Drive.
Parents were allowed to wait for their children at nearby Louise Arbour secondary.
The gas leak was caused when construction crews in the area severed a natural gas line.
Students were released shortly before 7:30 p.m.
