A generous University of Waterloo Alumnus has named part of a newly constructed U.W. math building after his favourite high-school teacher. John Hele earned his Bachelor of Mathematics degree at UW in 1980, and says it was his grade 13 Calculus teacher at Kennedy in Windsor, Bruce White who taught him the discipline needed to learn.
