Nutella to pay $3M in lawsuit

Nutella may not be part of a balanced breakfast after all.

The makers of the hazelnut chocolate spread have agreed to a $3-million settlement, to end four class-action lawsuits filed in the U.S.

The suits were launched by moms who said they were shocked to find out Nutella had twice as much sugar as a similar amount of jam or syrup.

As a result, the company behind the spread has agreed to pull ads that describe their product as healthy.
