Panel says Queers Against Israeli Apartheid can march at Pride

Pride Toronto’s dispute resolution panel has given the group Queers Against Israeli Apartheid the green light to march in Sunday’s Pride parade.

It’s a decision that could impact future funding for the festival, which injects millions into the local economy.

The League for Human Rights of B’nai Brith launched the original complaint against the group, saying the term “Israeli apartheid” violated anti-discrimination policies in Toronto.

CityNews reporter Peter Kim has more on the controversial decision, and the long-term impact it could have on Pride.
