Russ Holden celebrates 45 years at Rogers

TORONTO, Ont. – Traffic reporter Russ Holden will be celebrating his 45th anniversary at Rogers on Sept. 1.

Holden joined CHFI in the operations department in 1967.

After 10 years of commercial and program production including numerous commercial awards, he took to the sky as an airborne traffic reporter.

He can currently be seen delivering traffic reports on Breakfast Television Toronto, CityNews Channel, and heard on 680News.

“Russ has been instrumental in leading our traffic reporting team to award-winning success, and having someone with his in-depth knowledge and seasoned expertise delivering our traffic reports certainly fosters a high level of trust with viewers and listeners,” said Scott Moore, President of Broadcast, Rogers Media.

“My job is my passion, and even after 45 years I still love to help commuters get to their destinations in the easiest and safest way possible,” said Holden.

Holden celebrated his 40th anniversary at Rogers in 2007, and received a special tribute by Ted Rogers, the late president and CEO of Rogers Communications Inc. You can see the photos in the photo gallery on the left-hand side.
