A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing on Bleecker Street.
On Dec. 20 officers were called to a highrise apartment building at 275 Bleecker St., near Parliament and Wellesley streets, around 3 p.m. for a double stabbing.
Upon arrival they found both victims on Sherbourne Street. Police believe the victims were stabbed during a confrontation in the apartment.
Both men were taken to hospital, where one man was pronounced dead.
Family members identified the man killed as Glenton Gibson, 23, a father of two young children. He had celebrated his birthday only two days before he was murdered.
Detectives believe the three suspects fled the crime scene by a west stairwell and one of them is believed to have been bleeding when the trio took off.
On Friday, Trestan Brown surrendered to police. He has been charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder and fail to comply recognizance.
