A TTC rider has turned to social media to shame people who exhibit what he sees as poor etiquette.
Mike Takasaki’s blog, I Hope Your Bag is Comfortable, [expletive], encourages riders to post photos of others who are taking up an extra seat with their bag, dog or other item.
He started the blog earlier this month and it already has dozens of submissions.
It has even caught the attention of the TTC.
“Public transit requires public contributions that go beyond fares and taxes. Thank you for your contribution,” spokesman Brad Ross tweeted.
But others have left messages on the blog calling Takasaki passive aggressive, which he admits.
“Seriously, why not just ask people to move their [expletive]?” one user posted.
“Clearly you don’t have the common sense to choose a seat that’s open in these photos and clearly … you have forgotten how to oscillate your vocal chords in a way that asks someone else “Can I please sit here?” reads another message.
