Ontario Provincial Police say an angry cellphone conversation was the lead up to a vehicle rollover on Highway 401 near Cobourg.
Police say they witnessed a male passenger becoming angry with someone he was speaking to, and throwing the cell phone on the floor.
He then allegedly grabbed the steering wheel from the driver, causing the car to veer into the median, strike the centre median wall, cross both lanes and land on its wheels in the south ditch.
No one was injured in the crash.
The 26-year-old man, from Trenton, is charged with mischief and endangering life. He’s set to appear in court on July 17.
