Glee star Lea Michele has broken her silence about her boyfriend Cory Monteith, the Canadian actor who died of a heroin and alcohol overdose in Vancouver earlier this month.
Monteith, who played the role of football player and singer Finn Hudson on the popular television series, was found dead in his room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel on July 13.
On Monday, Michele posted a photo of Monteith and herself to her 3.5 million Twitter followers with a message thanking her fans for their “enormous love” and “support.”
“Cory will forever be in my heart.”
The actors, who played an on-air high school couple on Glee for four seasons, had been dating for more than a year when Monteith died.
The Calgary-born actor had spoken publicly in the past about his struggles with drug addiction and had reportedly entered rehab earlier this year.
