Police have footage of suspects after North York double shooting

TORONTO, Ont. -Toronto Police say the suspects wanted in connection with the deadly shooting of two teens have been captured on tape.
Two teenagers were gunned down outside a townhouse complex in North York, Friday.
The three people believed to be involved in the deadly shooting took off on bikes which investigators say they also have located those bikes near the scene.
Two of the suspects may be Somalian and the third may be black.
Police say officers have canvassed the community but have not yet spoken to all area residents.
Anyone with information is asked to give them a call.
One of the victims — 16-year-old O’She Doyles-Whyte– died at the scene, while the second teen — 15-year-old Kwame Duodu– died of his injuries in hospital.
Shots were fired outside 287 Grandravine Dr., located near Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West, just after 1:30 p.m. The complex is owned by Toronto Community Housing.
Neighbours in the area don’t understand what could have led to the shooting. Both of the victims were described as well-liked, typical teenage boys.
Genesis, 15, was friends with O’Shea. She said she had spoken with him a few hours before he was killed.
“There was not a day that goes by he never texted me, called me to make sure that I was okay,” Genesis told 680News. “He was always looking out for everyone else. I felt so safe.”
The girl said the victim lived in the area and had a job at a nearby day camp for children.
A large number of cruisers and officers canvassed the area Friday afternoon, talking to people who were nearby at the time of the incident.
The primary location of the investigation is the space right above a parking garage at the townhouse complex.
It’s believed the 16-year-old boy lived in the townhouse complex.

“We are angered and saddened by the tragic loss of yet another young life to gun violence in this city.
Our first thoughts are with the families and friends of the two young men shot today, and with the entire community of Yorkwoods Village.
At the very point in their lives when they should be looking forward to a bright future, too many of our young people are losing their lives to gun violence.
As a society, we must stand together against the criminals who are opening fire in our communities. When a young person is gunned down anywhere in the City of Toronto, it affects us all.
Toronto Community Housing will continue to work closely with the Toronto Police Service, the City, local agencies, community leaders and our residents. Only by working together can we rid our communities of crime and tackle the root causes of violence.”
