Officers released from hospital after Queensway Motel arrest

Two Toronto police officers and one suspect were taken to hospital after a fight broke out during an arrest at the Queensway Motel on Thursday.

The officers were called to the motel, on The Queensway east of Royal York Road, around 12:40 a.m., to arrest a man who was wanted on fraud-related charges.

One officer had a cut on his hand from a beer bottle and the second officer had injuries to his knees and legs. Both have been released from hospital.

The suspect had minor injuries and will be facing multiple charges.
