PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – A man has been charged after a fleeing suspect allegedly threw hot coffee into a police officer’s face in Peterborough.
Police say the incident happened Saturday when they got a complaint about a man causing a disturbance near a business in the city.
When officers tried to speak with the suspect, it’s alleged he ran away – with police following him on foot – then turned and tossed the coffee he had been carrying into the face of one of the officers.
Police say the officer didn’t require medical attention.
