Garbage fire forces partial evacuation of downtown apartment building

A garbage fire in the hallway forced the partial evacuation of a downtown apartment building on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the building on Shuter Street near Parliament Street around 4 a.m., after it began on the 12th floor.
The fire was quickly extinguished but some residents were forced out from the smoke.
They have since been allowed to return. No one was injured.
