Man wanted in Markham attempted murder arrested in New Brunswick

A 31-year-old man wanted in connection with an attempted homicide in Markham has been arrested in New Brunswick.
The shooting happened outside a pub at Yonge Street and Clark Avenue West around 11 p.m. on May 8.
Police believe the suspect and a group of five or six men, including the victim, were on the street outside the Britannia Pub & Grill just before the shooting.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, then called police. His injuries were not considered life-threatening and he was treated in hospital then released. Police said he is not cooperating with the investigation.
Two women were arrested and police searched for a third suspect who fled the scene.
Sirvon Edwards of Markham was arrested by the Saint John Police Force on Monday and will be transported back to Ontario to face charges.
