Retailers would like to know every bit of information they can about their customers for marketing purposes. But security experts warn consumers to be vigilant in protecting private information like postal codes and email addresses when shopping. It could cause major problems if the information falls in to the wrong hands. And remember, giving stores that information is completely optional.
