A three-year-old child is recovering well in a Toronto hospital after falling from the window of a Whitby home on Sunday.
Police say the child was playing on a bed against a second floor window when the screen gave way. The child fell to a lower roof and then fell about 15 feet to the ground.
Emergency crews were called to the scene in the Winchester and Thickson roads area shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday.
The child was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was then transported to the Hospital for Sick Children.
Police say he is expected to be discharged from hospital on Monday.
Foul play is not suspected.
