The search will resume Monday for a Burlington man who disappeared after boating on Lake Ontario on Friday evening.
Ivan Batusic, 47, set sail from the Fifty Point Marina near Grimsby, and went missing after the intense thunderstorms.
Niagara regional police said a search-and-rescue operation began when he didn’t return later that night.
The Canadian Coast Guard conducted a marine search and found Batusic’s 32-foot sailboat aground in the area of Jordan Harbour.
Police and the coast guard continued their search throughout Saturday for the missing boater but have yet to find him.
He’s described as six-feet tall, 300 pounds with short grey and black hair. He has a goatee and was last seen wearing black cargo shorts and blue sandals.
