Music and fireworks dazzle at Cavalcade of Lights

Thousands bundled up and headed down to Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday night for the 48th annual Cavalcade of Lights celebration.

The event included the lighting of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, followed by a concert featuring the talented Maestro Fresh Wes, Kardinal Offishall, Kellylee Evans and a fireworks show.

The crowd cheered as the 65-foot white spruce tree was switched on.

The event was hosted by BT’s Kevin Frankish.

To kick off the holiday season there was also a DJed skating party.

The night ended with a beautiful fireworks display.
