Two seriously injured in Jane and Wilson area crash

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in the city’s north end.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Jane Street near Chalkfarm Drive around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash that shut down Jane Street in both directions from Wilson Avenue to Chalkfarm.

According to police, firefighters had to use the jaws of life to free one of the injured parties from the wreckage.

Two others suffered minor injuries.

There has been no word on what caused the crash. Police continue their investigation.
