It happened at King and Bathurst streets just before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The new streetcar was pushing the older one on King when it turned onto Bathurst. The old streetcar made the turn, but the new one jumped the track.

According to TTC spokesperson Brad Ross, debris in the track appears to have caused the derailment.

No one was on the streetcar when it derailed. No injuries were reported.

TTC streetcars are diverting in the area, and shuttle buses are running. The TTC hopes to have the issue cleared up by early afternoon.
