Four men charged with conspiracy to commit murder: police

Toronto police have arrested four men in connection to a conspiracy to commit murder investigation.

Police said three men were hired to locate, shoot and kill a man for a cash payment.

On Sept. 8, police were notified of a person with a gun near Parliament Street and Winchester Street. Two of the accused men located the intended victim, produced a firearm, took cash and then made arrangements to extort him at a later date.

Police intervened and located a loaded .22 calibre semi-automatic handgun.

A fourth man surrendered to police at a later time.

Michel Spruyt, 49, of Toronto, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

David Zeghouane, 22, of Toronto, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, extortion and two counts of fail to comply probation.

Tyri Ajai King-Joseph, 21, of Toronto, is facing multiple charges including careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, conspiracy to commit murder and extortion.

Eric Gordon, 27, of Toronto, is facing multiple charges including conspiracy to commit murder, extortion and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
