Woman struck and killed by Brampton transit bus

A 57-year-old woman was struck and killed by a transit bus in Brampton on Thursday night.
Peel police say the incident occurred at George Street and Nelson Street just after 7 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear. However, police told 680 NEWS it appears the woman was walking beside the bus that hit her.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened to come forward.
